Welcome to All for this first issue of THE RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTOR, a web magazine published in the interest of truth and righteousness. I am the Editor, Mark J. Ward (you can reach me at markjward@yahoo.com), and I will be writing various articles on a wide range of religious topics. All articles ending with "mjw" are by the Editor. I will solicit "new" articles from writers, will accept and consider articles and questions submitted by various individuals and will even post "already published" articles that I believe to be pertinent and helpful to people in today’s diverse religious world. Simply stated, I am a Christian like those in the New Testament (See Acts 11.26; 26.28 and I Peter 4.16). What "faith" are you? I have an obligation to teach the gospel, which is God’s power to save the lost (Rom. 1.16). I will earnestly contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints (Jude 3), so readers can expect controversy in this magazine. Christians are to fight the good fight of faith (Eph. 6). This includes teaching truth and fighting religious error. A person who is NOT willing to engage in religious controversy is failing to obey God! At the same time, my treatment of all people and their positions will be in the spirit of brotherly love, considering myself and eternity (See Gal. 6.1ff). Pray for the good of this effort! Religious division is evident everywhere. However, it is condemned by God (See I Cor. 1.10; John 17; 2 John 9). It is the intent of this publication to teach the Truth and expose error. Let’s unite on the truth as taught in God’s Word! Our salvation is too important to leave error alone! *mjw*
